Microsoft is updating some of the applications that come preloaded with Windows 11. To begin, you will find a new version of the Snipping tool that lent a handful of Microsoft Snip & Sketch application. Press the “WIN”, “SHIFT” and “S” keys on your keyboard simultaneously to activate the software and then select the part of your screen you want to capture. Once you have broken a screenshot, you will find several tools that allow you to edit and write down the image. With Windows 11, the SNIPPING tool also finally includes a dark mode, and can configure it independent of your system topic.
Microsoft is also updating the mail and calendar applications in Windows 11. You will notice that you now have rounded corners “and other settings” that should help you feel more like a natural extension of the operating system.
Finally, but certainly, no less important, the Humble Calculator application has received a bit of Microsoft’s love. It also now includes a dark mode that you can configure independently of Windows. The company has also rewritten the software at C # with the hope that more people contribute to their development on Github.
According to Dave Grochocki, a senior program administrator led by the Windows Inbox applications, Microsoft plans to release “even more updates to applications that come in Windows 11”. Look for the previews of those who arrive before the company publishes Windows 11 later this year. Meanwhile, you can try newly updated applications if you are on the Windows Insider DeV channel.
