Nerf made a blaster for Catnip’s discs that could have been so much more spectacular than it turned out to be. It is made to be as basic as possible, offering an experience to the user (and their cat) of about $ 15. Unfortunate for the user, the idea has much more potential than what is actually in the package.
As indicated by the people of Blasterhub, the Cat Canip Blaster Nerf disk has a LED light that shines … a few meters away. The package suggests that Blaster has a laser light – but what is included is not much more than “a pipe with a plastic lens on it”. This is the rest of the blaster that ends with the value of the box.
You get what is actually a rubber band launcher with a high-level loading ammunition chute. This Catnip Blaster disc launches Catnip disks made to Nerf. This is the part where the potential far exceeds the product: you get 3 discs with the blaster.
Below you will see the blaster in action. As is usually the case with bright red light, cats respond to hunting. The second bit of the demonstration shows how light does not reach far – but the disks certainly launch. Now, if only the launcher comprised more than three discs, or included a kind of mold with which the user could create his own new disks of their own CANIP – would not it be careful?
