Game smart phones have apparently taken a back seat lately after having their time at the center of attention during the last two years or so. Asus, however, does not seem to fail and it is, in fact, trying to flood the market with more models of what one can imagine. Only months after the phone ROG 5 and ROG Telytes 5 Ultimate debuted, is launching a slight update of the line that has little improvement, except for the new Rog Phone 5S Pro.
The ROG Phone 5 series is already powerful for a smart game phone, so there is not much that it is necessary to improve urgently. Even so, Asus probably thought about giving your game phones the best thing that exists, which probably puts the current owners of the ROG 5 phone in a little loss. Fortunately, improvements are almost so marginal to be remarkable.
In short, the core update for Log Phone 5S and 5S Pro is Snapdragon 888+, which is a quite thin improvement on the “normal” triple-8 processor. Players could more appreciate the update of the 360Hz screen response rate, since that will directly affect the games. Apart from that, the Rog Phone 5S and 5S Pro are quite similar to the ROG 5 and 5 Ultimate phone, respectively.
However, the Rog Phone 5S Pro, obtains a remarkable change. Instead of the black and white back screen of your definitive counterpart, you now have a small OLED color panel. Of course, it is still mainly used to show luxury animated notifications, so do not wait a lot from your experience outside the box.
The ASUS ROG 5S phone comes in a variety of configuration options for RAM and storage, but the ASUS ROG Phone 5S Pro is only available as a first-line 18GB RAM and a 512GB storage model. It also comes with a pretty steep price tag of 37,99 NTD (around $ 1,370), but at least includes an Aeroactive Cooler accessory $ 70. No word still on global availability.
