Apple has allowed Mac, iPhone and iPad users available to access their iCloud drives on a PC with an application that you can get from the Microsoft store. And while the software allows you to download your photos and files, any password stored on your keychain were a more complicated issue. That is about to change for better.
With iCloud version 12.5 for Windows, Apple is adding a password manager to the software. Once you download the Microsoft store update, you can use the Add, Edit, Copy and Paste tool, remove and search all the passwords you have stored on your iCloud keychain. You can also use the application along with an extension of Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome for automatically a password when it is surfing online.
Apple says that the application stores all your passwords within an encrypted database on your computer and transfers them to the relevant browser extension on a secure channel. The application will automatically save and synchronize any username and passwords from the website, but it will not do the same for applications and other confidential personal data as the number of your credit card.
It is all fairly standard functionality applications such as 1PASSWORD and DASHLANE have been offered for years, but if you are an iPhone user who frequently saves your login in iCloud, you will appreciate having easy access to them on your PC.
