Intel has chosen a name for your high performance consumption graphics: Intel ARC. The brand will cover the sides of hardware and software from your high-end graphic cards, as well as services.
The first GPU arc, alchemist named of code, will arrive in the first quarter of 2022 for desktop computers and laptops, as Intel seeks to assume Nvidia and AMD. Intel also revealed the names of the codes for subsequent generations of the hardware: Battlemage, Celestial and Druid.
Alchemist GPUs will support hardware-based rays, mesh shading, shading of variable rate and direct11 x ultimate. Intel states that they will also be able to “super super artificial intelligence sampling”. That, no doubt, seems to be the company’s turn in the deep learning of Nvidia, the super sampling of scale technology, which increases the resolution while reducing the pressure in the GPU.
Alchemist cards are based on XE-HPG microarchitecture, a mixture of XE LP, HP and HPC microarquitectures. Intel says that XE-HPG “will provide scalability and calculate efficiency with advanced graphics characteristics.” Intel’s dedicated graphic cards, which were mainly oriented towards laptops and prefabricated desktops, are based on XE LP architecture. Intel says that it will share more details about the first arch products at the end of this year.
Intel also took a quick look at the arc graphics in action. In a video, he showed games that include Forza Horizon 4, Psychonauts 2, the battlefields of players (or Pubg: battle arguments, to be precise) and Metro Exodus running in technology. And yes, it seems that the GPUs can execute the trilogy of remastered Crysis.
